2020: The Good, The Bad, and The Truly Unforeseen
I think most of us are ready to leave 2020 in the rear-view mirror.
A pandemic, wildfires, and a crazy U.S. election season made for a lot of stress.
Biden won! Thank God. January 20, 2021 can’t come soon enough.
There was much good in my author life this year. I fully embraced the self-publishing gig, re-released ten titles and wrote/released one new novella. I learned a lot and got much support from my fellow authors. We had our 3rd annual writers retreat in Yachats. I and my husband educated ourselves on marketing and promo. I tackled that third novel in the Shores Series yet again and was hopeful I could get it released early next year.
The Truly Unforeseen:
On December 10th my beloved husband Michael died unexpectedly of a heart attack. He was my heart, the ground beneath my feet, my stalwart companion and partner. I don’t know when I’ll be back to writing and publishing again. Michael had taken on the bulk of the marketing/advertising of my work. We’ll see what 2021 brings.
Until then, rest in peace and power, Michael. You were an amazing husband, a great father, and a true friend to many.
